Now that we’re officially in the Christmas month it’s all hands on deck to get the gift giving sorted, decorate the home, plan what to prepare to eat Christmas Day and also give thought to what you’re going to wear.
Dressing ‘family appropriate’ can sometimes be the most difficult look to execute. A day spent with family and friends of all ages, is not a day for your shortest skirt or body con dress (that would be a mistake in the heat anyway) but rather something simple, chic and of course comfortable.
When putting together your ideal wardrobe we all need to have ‘meet the parents’, grandparents and kid friendly go-to ensembles. Playing on the ground with your two year old niece in something you can’t move in isn’t ideal.
Christmas day is a perfect day to accessorise. A statement necklace dresses up a plain black outfit perfectly, and simple flat sandals are perfect for running around the kitchen in. My look might be a little dark for some on such a cheery day, but notorious for spilling the gravy on myself, it’s a fail proof plan!
